The recovery of one child is worth it!
Fall here we come! We are grateful for another month of Community Awareness Outreach and this much cooler weather! Last month, we had 9 campuses go out on 15 different routes!
Here’s an update:
One September 22nd Poiema was informed that M. Castaneda was found! She is a 16-year-old teen who’s been featured on our missing kids’ poster more than once, so this report is very encouraging. The news was received a few weeks after one of our Outreach Campuses turned in a tip from a hotel owner on their route. (We are not disclosing the hotel to protect the anonymity of our community partners). Because our volunteers have developed a trust-based relationship with employees at this hotel, they were able to obtain some important information regarding the missing teen. The recovery of one young person makes our faithful volunteers’ efforts worthwhile!
If you’re interested in finding out more about our valued partner, 4TheOne, you can visit their website at https://4theone.org/. To date, 346 missing minors have been recovered and sadly,193 of those minors were victims of sex trafficking or sexual exploitation. I am grateful to know these children are no longer of the streets.
God is doing a mighty work through our volunteers, and we need more of you! If you’ve never participated on an Outreach, I’d like to invite you to give it a try! If you do serve on an outreach team, I would like to challenge you to invite a friend to join you…or invite two or three friends! 😊It’s a great way to educate people about human trafficking, and by going on outreach, they will see first-hand the prevalence of trafficking throughout the metroplex.
There are plenty of upcoming opportunities to serve on a Poiema Outreach in YOUR area! You can follow the link below to view the calendar on Volunteer Hub.

I am continually grateful for the time and energy you pour into this ministry!
